First evaluation of DRT implementation in the communities of municipalities Acsor and Communauté de Communes de Moyenne Vilaine et Semnon (CCMVS)

Both communities of municipalities in Pays des vallons de Vilaine have conducted their first evaluation of the progress for Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) services launched in September 2011. A statistical analysis permits us to make firsts assessments of the situation. Three main indicators are monitored: number of trips, number of subscribers and the average of cost per trip.

Extra horse power for walking buses in Cahors: Carriage transport tested as a horse bus line

The Children’s City Council of Cahors city is working, thanks to the SMOOTH project, on the implementation of a transport carriage using real horse power, running in parallel pédibus (walking bus) lines..

Grand Cahors celebrates European Mobility Week with SMOOTH goodies!

Thanks to the SMOOTH project Grand Cahors purchased several goodies to distribute to cyclists and pedestrians. Some of them were distributed during the European Mobility Week in September: the caps and the water bottles were given to the children who participated in the cycling tour in Cahors city centre, and the flash reflectors to the children participating in the Pédibus (walking bus) lines in Catus and Cahors.

The European Mobility Week comes to Cahors!

The City of Cahors and the Grand Cahors Community chose to get involved in European mobility Week. Indeed, our communities are engaged, for 2 years, along with Europe, to promote alternative modes of transport to the car, especially in the European project SMOOTH where Grand Cahors is the lead partner.
