Workshop on Demand Responsive Transport Services

A one-day transnational workshop is organised in the framework of the SMOOTH (Safety and MObility Optimization for sustainable Transport and Health) project, with the support of DG Move, which will explore practical solutions to meet this objective.

The workshop

The SMOOTH European project is supporting the development of safer and sustainable transport in three countries of the European Union (France, Cyprus and Lithuania) and their cooperation has enabled the creation of Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) services in the Pays des Vallons de Vilaine area.

On behalf of the SMOOTH consortium, Pays des Vallons de Vilaine invites all the decision-makers, transport specialists and practitioners to discuss the issue of developing Demand Responsive Transport services.

How are DRT services conceptualised?
How do users reserve their trip?
How can we reach the correct target group of users?
After a year of exploitation, how do we evaluate the service and what opportunities are there to improve it?

You are invited to the SMOOTH workshop which will address the question of how to offer Demand Responsive Transport services which best meet the needs of citizens. At the workshop you will learn about the solutions that have been proposed by the SMOOTH partners and have the opportunity to discuss their implementation.
